KERRY RAY TRACY

While I tend to be guarded and tight lipped about the edit techniques I use, there are a few things I will share, since they are commonly used.
SKIN EDITS
Currently, as of the creation of this Tech Note page, I have 12 different ways that I do skin edits. I've found that this is the most debated upon edit an artist will do.
Everyone has a technique they stand by and they feel, everyone else is doing it wrong. Which, I honestly roll my eyes at. Photography is rarely without DOGMA.

V-SKIN
V-Skin hides a great deal. It evens out the skin entirely, including, age lines, eye bags, skin discoloration, pimples or rough skin. I've used it mainly when I create images based around, Dark art/Fantasy.
FREQ/D&B
Frequency Separation and Dodge/Burn I probably use most these days. I tend to keep the frequency level as small as possible. This way the model's complexion can still show through.
GLAM/COMIC BOOK
Entails using a series of filters that diminish the noise. More of a smooth outcome, with a certain amount of blur. Photographers hate this technique.
I use this mainly for, Pinup or
Dark Art Fantasy.
