YOUTUBE UPDATE 2/2023

Here is the update to my, 5th Light Studio YouTube Channel. During the latter part of 2022, every video I would put up garnered at least, 1.5k views. Then, right after 2023, my views on all new videos dropped down to maybe 15 views,....total. To go from at least 1,500 views to just 15, seemed suspicious/odd. First, Shadowbanning was suspected. Maybe I used a tag I should not have or sometimes if a YouTube Channel takes off and gets a lot of views, the powers that be will pull the reins back and add a shadownban. It's usually temporary. In my case, nothing seemed to make it better. Views stayed low and in some cases dropped to zero. I have or had, 305 subscribers and I should at least get a third of those numbers per video. Which means I wasn't being seen, not even by my subscribers.

Then I began to hear from other YouTube channels that they too, were experiencing issues and they all felt it was due to multiple channels being dropped by the algorithm. Popular YouTube channels reported almost complete, "dead in the water" output to their videos. This was exactly what I had happen. As of this writing we are completely dead in the water!

So, where to go from here? I've placed my videos on almost every platofrm I can. You name it, my videos are on it. Downside to that, they don't get the traction that YouTube does. Something I didn't realize and figure on was that WIX that host my website, also offers a Video Channel that you can post a collection of your videos on. So I have begun placing videos to this platform, which has actually been nice. WIX has some really great reach.

I haven't quit my pursuit of YouTube, but my drive to post often has slowed. I have a few videos which are being put together and could be launched, just doesn't make sense right now if no one watches. So, YouTube is shelved for now. I will return to it. Until my videos can be enjoyed right here on my website.
